Headed by the Association québécoise des retraité(e)s des secteurs public et parapublic (AQRP), the program "55 ans au volant" is back in action this fall with 24 new information sessions of six hours provided in all regions of Quebec.
"It is for people who want to improve or renew their driving skills. Some drivers forget notions, see new types of road signs appear on the roads. It reminds them of the impact of certain medications on driving. At 55, it can be almost 40 years that we have obtained the license", says the president of the AQRP, Madeleine Michaud. Since its inception in 2008, the program has attracted 2,024 participants at 124 briefings.
